About The Designer

Jeni Ambrose Jeni Ambrose is Lead Designer and founder of Sacred Gardens Inc. Her creations draw from a vast array of educational, professional and life experiences gained throughout the United States and around the world.

Beyond her years of experience and studies as a designer, Ms. Ambrose brings to her work an innate sense of space and aesthetics. Her design work employs not only the basic elements of design, but also a deep sense of meditation on and connection with space, which bring a garden to life.

Having owned and managed a landscape installation and maintenance contracting company for many years, Ms. Ambrose has a valuable perspective within the landscaping industry.

She has first-hand knowledge of horticulture and all aspects of landscape construction. Her familiarity with the difference in quality of materials, practices and workmanship gives her an advantage as a landscape designer.

Ms. Ambrose has developed a solid cooperative relationship with many collogues, subcontractors, trade specialists, manufacturers and artisans. As her projects demand, she draws upon this wealth of skill and expertise to create her design vision.

Certificates & Diplomas

2002 Master Gardener Certification Program, University of Arizona Cooperative Extension. This program included a heavy emphasis in biology, entomology and desert-adapted horticulture. Arizona's Master Gardener program is on the cutting edge of environmentally conscious gardening practices including integrated pest management (i.e. mostly chemically free), designing for energy efficiency and low-water use irrigation.

2000 SmartScape Certification, Arizona Landscape Contractors Association. The SmartScape program is offered to landscape industry professionals and teaches a wide variety of landscape practices that can save water, decrease waste and work more harmoniously within the desert southwest environment.
